Sorry I have been a bit absent the bast couple of weeks, but Chris and I have had a lot going on!  His parents came in to town for a while from Australia for thanksgiving, and we were in San Antonio and Austin for quite a while.

It was such a fun thanksgiving, they had never experienced it before so it was pretty cool.  I won some tickets from work for the Houston Texans game, so this weekend we went to Houston from Friday night to Monday and just went to the Galleria and then ate at Hubbell and Hudson where my brother is the executive chef.

He did a 6 course tasting menu for us and it was incredible.

We had

sashimi tuna with root vegetable gellé and warm Parmesan broth poured table side with micro greens

Lobster risotto with cornmeal crusted fried calamari and lobster chunks

Handmade tagliatelle with lobster creme sauce with Uni and wasabi tabiko

Duck 3 ways: Pan fried, Patté, and grilled with a mango chutney

Sous Vide Fillet Minon with braised vegetables

Churros with spiced hot chocolate and caramel gelatto

Each dish was paired with its own wine as well.
